Turning Waste Heat below 80oC into FREE ENERGY

Monetize your waste.

A pioneering UK engineering company has developed a highly efficient positive displacement turbine. FETU Ltd, established in West Yorkshire, is an Innovation Driven Enterprise (IDE). The fundamental differentiator of a FETU based ORC system is the technology base of the expander architecture. A low GWP fluid is depressurised through a Fenton Turbine “FeTu”, this provides motive force which is usd to drive a Motor Generator Unit (MGU).

The FETU system is upto 6 times more effiecient and can generate power from temperature sources as low as 40oC. The Fetu difference is most apparent when comparing the net financial gain per MW of source energy accross a range of temperature cases.

This key difference also means FeTu retains viability well below 80oC cut off point of traditional ORC systems.

It is most apparent, that in direct comparison, a FeTu based ORC offers stronger commercial merits at 40oC than a conventional ORC at 120oC, when both schemes are subject to a 15oC sink temperature.
